Splunk® Enterprise

Updating Splunk Enterprise Instances

View app deployment status

You can use the forwarder management interface to view the status of app distribution.

Go to the Configurations tab. Click on an app to go to a detailed page for that app:

Here, you see two tabs, one labeled Details and the other one labeled Agents. Under the Details page, you can find the application's size, last load time, repository, and deployment status.

Also, in the Details page, under "Settings", you can also modify your application's after delivery settings. By default, the application is set to be enabled after delivery, but you can also choose to disable it, or for your application not to run on your agent. Lastly, you can select whether or not to restart your agent after delivery.

Under Agents, you can find information on the number of clients the app was deployed to. You can see a detailed list of its clients, and their status information in a table format.

You can also use the CLI to get information on deployment status. To confirm that all clients received the deployment, run this command from the deployment server:

 splunk list deploy-clients

This lists all the deployment clients that have contacted the deployment server since the last restart of the deployment server.
